Today’s Deals: Tech, Board Games, and Free Food
I subscribe to the promotional emails of hundreds of companies so you don’t have to. I sift through 1,000 deal-touting emails every week. Most are worthless. But some offer valuable coupons, promo codes, sales, and freebies – which I collect and organize here and on our deals page.

Baby
- Babies R Us: Up to 70 percent off items in 16 different categories – from strollers to bedding – during the Cyber Clearance Event online [6/16].
Magazines
- Magazines: 17 subscriptions are $5 a year at Amazon.com [expiration unknown]. They include Health, Smart Money, and Parenting. This deal includes auto-renewal, but you can easily discontinue it if you do not want to automatically be charged for a second year.
Food
- Chick-fil-A: Free meal – breakfast, lunch, or dinner – for customers who dress up as a cow on Cow Appreciation Day, which is today [6/13 only].
Home
- Accent furniture: Up to 60 percent off during the Furniture Closeout Sale at Kirkland’s online [6/16].
- Kirkland’s (decor): $25 off a $100-plus purchase in stores (print first) [6/14].
Technology
- iTunes gift cards: 15 percent off at Best Buy online [expiration unknown].
- Printers (HP): $30 off a $209-plus model at Staples stores (print first) [6/16].
- MP3 players: Up to 60 percent off at Amazon.com [expiration unknown].
- 16GB thumb drive (Kingston): 78 percent off a black DataTraveler model at Buy.com [expiration unknown]. Instead of $42, it’s $9 – and shipping is free. I’m pretty sure this is officially the lowest I’ve seen USB 2.0 thumb drive prices drop.
- Tech gifts: Up to 50 percent off cameras, headphones, computers, computer accessories, and more during the dads and grads sale at Staples stores and online [6/16].
Pets
- Folding dog crate: 50 percent off a 3-foot-long, three-door model at Buy.com [expiration unknown]. Instead of $100, it’s $50 – and shipping is free.
Toys
- Games: 20 percent off at Hasbro.com [expiration unknown]. Shipping is free if you spend $50-plus. Hasbro makes games like Battleship, Monopoly, and Twister.
